This jam is definitely tastier and milder in taste than pure mountain ash, recommended for people who like a bitter taste.

If you prefer to add pears instead of apples, the jam will be sweeter.

INGREDIENTS:

300 g of rowan fruit

700 g of apples or pears

300 g of unrefined sugar

1/4 cup of water

cinnamon

cloves

nutmeg

1 glass of whiskey (optional)

A METHOD OF PREPARING:

Rowan fruits thoroughly wash, sort, remove the stalks (common rowan must be frozen for 2 days, then put in water and boiled).

Peel and slice the apples. Cover all fruit with sugar, pour water and alcohol.

Cook over low heat. The jam can be rubbed through a sieve to a smooth mousse.

Transfer to jars and pasteurize.
